Space Marine Sergeant

Small update on the space marines from assault on black reach. Got some progress down with

bad ass sergeant here. He looks a bit sweaty. He is still a WIP but I'm not feeling quite ok with him. Something is amiss.

Hopefully with some markings and something else he will stand out.








the back I was not sure on how to paint the skull. Tried white but I didn't like it too much. But the gold doesn't sit well either. Still too many space marines to paint to sit around little details.

What do you guys think?

4th Space Marine

Ok I hope this week I get 1 Space Marine done each day or two.
I think my highlighting improved on the face of the space marine at least.

I made a mistake by not being careful with the brush and painted the face with tin bitz. It was promptly fixed :P (in the top picture: face painted with tin bitz >_<; )

I really liked the way the seal ended up but I didn't want to take three pictures (back front side) so a half side half back picture will have to do.

Some progress on space marines

I did some work on the space marines. I decided to work on 6 at the same time, so far it's going painfully slow. I'll post pictures tomorrow. [edit: pictures below]

The space marine sergeant is also a work in progress. After the mordian blue is done I'm going to paint one at a time for the details.

Also, my metallic paints came and I started doing some work on the three first marines:

The bases are going to be a pain, because I'm leaving them for last :P

In the meantime, I fell down during my karate class. I fell on my arm and even though it hurt a bit it wasn't that bad. I got the weirdest bruise I've gotten so far:

Paint it black

Almost all of the miniatures from Assault on Black Reach are now painted black. Updates on marines and orks ( orks are now mine ) should come more often now.

Metallic paints should arrive today or tomorrow. That means no more WIP marines.

Sad day for the Orks

This Sunday the unspeakable happened! 3 of my ork boyz were stolen :(

I try not to think much of it but it just doesn't work. I'm feeling pretty down about it. Need 3 ork boyz to complete the squad.

Gonna see if I can find a set that has less than 10 (don't want to buy too many orks now)

Not going to play at that place again... freaking thieves!

NECRONS

Last night while I was buying metallic paints, because I decided not to deal with NMM, I bought a lot of things. I bought a C'tan nightbringer, a necron destroyer lord, 5 immortals, 1 necron heavy destroyer and a set of 10 sisters of battle.

Pretty exciting.
